Factory stainless hinge screws on Estate Collection swing doors show black rust streaks within 18 months in Key Largo’s dual-ocean exposure. The doors become hard to adjust or remove. We replace the screws with true marine-grade stainless and address any pitting on the hinge plates themselves.
• Fused original aluminum jalousie frames. Older CBS cottages throughout Key Largo still have original jalousie or single-pane aluminum sliders whose frames have corroded and essentially fused to the masonry over 40 to 50 years. Replacement crews need core drills and custom pressure-treated bucks to extract these frames before a new impact unit can be anchored. This demolition scope rarely comes up on mainland jobs, and it’s work we do regularly here.
