Signs Your ViewLux Window Installation Is Failing

• Sash drops when you raise it. The pivot bar or the balance shoe has worn out. On ViewLux windows, the plastic shoe cracks along the seam first, and once it goes, the sash loses all tension. You’ll notice it most on south-facing windows where the sun beats on the vinyl all day.
• Crank turns freely but the window doesn’t move. The operator arm or the gear mechanism has stripped. On awning and casement ViewLux windows, the gear teeth are zinc alloy and they corrode in Homestead humidity, especially in homes without screened patios.
